Where are you located?
We are located two minutes outside of Barrie on Highway 11. Our address is Stroud Plaza - 7975 Yonge Street - Unit 6 in Innisfil.
You will find us between TD Canada Trust and Pharma Plus.
What do you sell?
The IceBox Cards & Collectibles sells sports and non-sports cards, supplies, NHL and NASCAR apparel and merchandise, sports and entertainment autographs and much more. We also specialize in customizing jerseys and custom framing.
Do you buy sports cards and memorabilia?
The IceBox Cards & Collectibles will always look at your collection if you're interested in selling. However, we do ask you to keep these points in mind:
We will most likely not be interested in sports cards from the late 80s and early 90s. Unfortunately, these cards were mass produced and consequently have very little resale value.
We rarely buy autographed memorabilia unless it comes from a source we know or can verify. We can not sell our customers autographs without knowing ourselves their history and provenance.
It is always best to call ahead and schedule an appointment for us to consider your collection. On days we are busy, we can not spend several hours looking at your cards and not serving our customers. We may ask you to leave your collection so that we can look at it after hours, and we will issue you a receipt.
We are available to make house calls for collections, but those visits are completely at our discretion and on our schedule.
Do you accept consignments?
The IceBox Cards & Collectibles does accept consignments, but on a very limited basis. We generally only accept high-end memorabilia or cards. If we accept your consignment, you will receive a contract stating our fees and that we accept responsibility for your item(s).
Fees will vary depending on the value of the item, the method by which it is sold and how long it takes to sell. Our fees are among the lowest in the industry, and your piece(s) will receive exposure through not only our store and web site, but also our eBay store, card shows and expositions we attend and via other web sites with which we have agreements.
The consignor always has the right to withdraw any or all items consigned to us; however, we may imposed a stocking fee depending on the circumstance.
The IceBox Cards & Collectibles is proud to present the Robert Thomas Collection, an amazing array of in-person autographs meticulously collected throughout the 1970s and 1980s in Toronto.
Mr. Thomas was a cameraman for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation for more than 20 years and a longtime Toronto Maple Leafs season-ticket holder.
When Mr. Thomas wasn't behind the lens for the CBC, however, he was busy with his hobby -- collecting hockey autographs. His unique access to players and coaches allowed him to fill binder after binder with signed cards, photos, team-issue postcards and more.
Players and coaches knew Mr. Thomas as one of the first serious autograph collectors, and other collectors knew him to have one of the largest in-person signed collections in the world. The great care taken by Mr. Thomas in building his collection shows in its quality and its quantity. There are more than 15,000 autographs ranging from the late 1960s through the late 1980s -- from Toe Blake to Brett Hull, with just about everyone in between.

Prices vary for other customized touches (photos in jersey frames, adding sports cards to photos), but the plate and appropriate pins are included in the price of all pieces! Our framing is not done on an assembly line by workers who don’t see the finished product. We use a private shop specializing in custom orders that completes every step by hand and ensures the frame and its contents meet the exacting standards of The IceBox and themselves.
A smaller shop also means we can return your framed piece much more quickly than the big guys. Turnaround for most standard-sized photos is one week, with jerseys and more complicated custom orders generally taking 2-3 weeks.
